My Year In Review
Just a regular guy. I'm a front-end dev building responsive and innovative apps at my place of work and I'm a soon-to-be SaaS founder. I love playing video games like Asphalt 9, eFootball, I love music as well. That's almost all there is to know about me
2025 was a good year for me.
Yes, I doubted myself
Yes, I made mistakes I wish I didn't
Yes, I wasn't consistent.
Yes, I attended the burial of my grandparents
However, I'm pretty sure that's part of being human so I can't complain. Through it all, I'm still alive, I didn't give up, I didn't back down.
In 2025, I got rewarded with my first paying Frontend Developer role, which opened a path to things I may not have done or achieved otherwise.
For one, I attended my first tech event, Devfest '25. Though money was part of the reasons I didn't attend in earlier years, I also felt I didn't belong, like i wasn't worthy of being there. But having a job boosted my morale a bit plus I was able to shoulder the bill this time.
Because of the job, I was able to upgrade from an old Novatech laptop which only works when there's light because the battery was bad and couldn't be found, to a Lenovo Thinkpad T470s laptop. It was a huge leap in every single aspect, display, boot times, weight, keyboard feel and more.
I was also able to purchase a phone, the first from my own pocket, upgrading from a Tecno Pop 4 to a Samsung Galaxy A07.
So yeah, I got a lot of blessings last year and I'm grateful.
This year, I plan to improve on my weak points. I'm going to be consistent on at least one platform be that X or LinkedIn or my blog. I'm also going to work hard to be good at school, work harder to improve myself as a person, work harder to be better at my craft, work harder to be better at my job and work harder to launch my first SaaS.
It's not going to be easy, but I am going to do my best to achieve it.
Thank you for reading.
